First time user needing some advice. I have had a friend replace the motor in a 94 lumina z34. It was replaced with a 94 pontiac motor. After the motor was set down in the lumina it was then noticed that the lumina did not have a crank shaft positioning sensor and the pontiac motor does. The wiring harness in the lumina does not have a wire for the sensor. Does anyone know of a fix for the problem short of pulling the motor back out and getting a motor out of a lumina instead.

The motor's have to both be the same, I'm guessing the lumina z34 was a 3.4 dohc, and the pontiak was a 3.1? The only way to do this correctly is to get all the wiring and computers from the donar car. Hop on over to http://www.60degreev6.com There is a lot of good information over there about engine swaps.
