Brake Light Issues

Hello. I have a quick question I was hoping someone could help me with concerning my 1996 Rodeo. My left brake light, as well as the right half of the center brake light, are BOTH not working. Obviosly not a bulb issue, since they're both out.

I checked all the fuses located in the INSIDE fuse box (the one located near the dash, next to where my left knee would be if I was sitting in the driver's seat). No luck. There is of course another fuse box located under the hood, and therein lies a bigger, block-like looking fuse which is labeled "lighting." Do you guys think that this fuse needs replacing? All the other lights work fine on the truck, except for the two previoiusly mentioned brake lights.

Yes, I am an idiot. But thanks for any help.... :sunglasse

Before you start wasting time with fuses and troubleshooting, do the obvious and check the bulbs. AFAIK the 3rd brake light has only one power lead, so if half of it is out, it has to be a bulb or contact issue. Alway start with the easy stuff, you might save yourself some time.
