How to remove headrests in '98 SE?

Hi everyone, I hope I can get some help with this issue.

The fabric on my front headrests have come detached on the underside, and I'm having a heck of a time trying to close that up. Can I remove the headrests? If so, how? It's a 1998 SE.

there should be a little button on the top of the seat. the one you push to lower the headrest. i think that if you push that in you can pull the headrest out completely. Good Luck to you.

No, there's no button. Just a straightforward "pull up and push down" headrest.

Hmmm. Is there a plastic circle piece at the bottom of the rods that hold the headrest in? Because if there is try popping those up with a flat head screwdriver. Be gentle because if they are plastic the could break.
