I have a 2000 Jimmy SLT and I noticed I have a leak in my windshield (right above my rear view mirror). Im not sure if this is just the weather strip that is around my windshield on the outside that needs replaced or what??? also my gas guage doesnt work, it bounces back and forth sometimes and other times doesnt move at all. i was told it could be a fuel level sensor??? does that sound right and if so how do i go about changing that? last question,.. with my gas guage not working would that be the cause of my digital readout of how many miles i have untill emtpy not working? thanks alot for any and all help.

I HAVE THE SAME TRUCK AND HAVE HAD THE SAME TWO PROBLEMS. FIRST THE WINDSHIELD. MINE LEAKED AROUND THE TOP RIGHT PASS. SIDE. I TOOK IT IN, AND THEY POINTED OUT THAT IT ONLY HAPPENED AT THE CAR WASH, WHICH IT DID, AND THAT WATER WAS SNEAKING PAST THE SEAL. DONT USE THE AUTOMATIC WASHES AND AVOID SPRAYING DIRECT PRESSURE TO THIS AREA, IT WORKS.
THE NEXT WAS THE FUEL GAUGE. MINE TURNED OUT TO BE THE FUEL SENSOR WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE FUEL TANK. LUCKILY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERED IT. OTHERWISE THE BILL WAS BETWEEN 4 AND 5 HUNDRED DOLLARS. IF YOU DONT WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY TO FIX IT, PLAN ON FILLING UP EVERY TWO HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE MILES TO BE SAFE!!!!!
NOW I HAVE TO FLUSH MY HEATER CORES THANKS TO THE DEXRON COOLANT CRAP. MY TRUCK BARELY BLOWS ANY HEAT DUE TO THE GELLING. BE WARNED ABOUT THIS HAPPENING NEXT. CHANGE YOUR COOLANT TO AVOID THIS.
