92 GSX: turbo AWD, ~200hp stock, ~2800lbs(right?)
03 RS: non turbo FWD, ~150hp stock, ~3300lbs
I would have to agree with AbsoluteGTR, the gsx would fuck the 3rd gen. How much do first gens weight anyway? I have tried to find it, but I have found everything between 2500 and 3100.

Ah, college tends to suck your life away from the things you used to enjoy doing, like visiting these forums and working on the dsm :banghead: I should be around a little more often starting in a week or two because the semester will be over then. Also my classes next semester will be a little less time-consuming so I should be around here more often for sure  How's your dsm coming along?

I have a couple questions regarding weight.
First off, what is "curb weight"?
Also, Mike and I have done a little weight reduction to his 91 TSI AWD. There is no interior from the front seats back (no back seat, interior panels, spare tire, etc) and no AC. About how much weight did we lose?

Good, thanks. How's that JRC front mount doing? Last I remember you had just installed it. Good to have you back.

hey man thats a nice car, i'm looking into buying one of my own. The only thing is it's a '95 1.8 5-speed, do these cars have any potential? The reason i'm getting this one is its cheap(the guy is going to sell it to me for $1,000 and the car is perfect), and it would save me about 100 dollars a month on gas. Right now i drive a '75 chevy pick-up with a 350, edelbrock 650 4 barrell, headers, and dual exhuast. So needless to say I'm getting around 10 miles to the gallon! :eek7:

no, they don't have any potential, 1.8's are slow as balls and even in perfect condition, its a stretch for that car to be worth $1000.
Also, if its a 1.8 then it can't be a '95, it would have to be a '94.

yes, any car has potential. it just depends on how much money and time you want to put into it.
and for the record, the 2g n/t's are 2.0L's. if it's a 1.8, it's a '90-'94.
