I was looking through the CAI's on ebay for my 99 blazer and saw that they had ones that just had the pipe before the MAF and some that had both the pipes before and after the MAF. Would geting just the one pipe before the MAF give the power increase or would the stock rubber piping after the MAF just restrict the air still?

One pipe before the MAF (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K-N-96-04-S10-S-10-BLAZER-JIMMY-SONOMA-4-3L-Air-Intake_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38634QQitemZ8013 274735QQrdZ1#ebayphotohosting)

Both pipes (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K-N-96-04-S10-Jimmy-Blazer-Sonoma-4-3L-Cold-Air-Intake_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38634QQitemZ8013 274483QQrdZ1)

You will definitely benefit more from the ones made with tubing before and after the MAF. They stay cooler and are wider allowing more air and cooler air. We want pics of the one you install and what you think on the sound and performance increase.

I agree 100% BlazeBoy., But I'd like to add a little. If your going to increase your air intake. You should also be looking at increasing your exhaust as well. This will definitely give you more power, Tork, and better gas mileage.

Oh most definitely. If you suck more air in you need to be able to push it out faster. At the minimum you need an after market muffler, Flo Pro or Ravin if you can find them. I heard Magnaflow is not bad either. And if you have the money and would like to do this, a more free flowing cat is a great idea, BlazerLT did it and has sound clips, pretty damn cool.
