the only way the oil filter seat is going to get damaged is if you knicked it with some weird way of trying to pull off the oil filter. you sure its not the oil filter itself? the valve cover? oil pressure sender? rubber ring on oil filter was oiled before installation?
not sure where the leak is coming from, go to your automotive repair shop and sak them to do a blacklight leak detector test. the dye they put in will make tracing your oil leak location stand out like a sore thumb. actually can be done on any mystery oil leak.

its not the oil filter, bcuz it was leaking before and its been changed. not the valve cover eaither. or the oil filter gasket, maybe the pressure sender. The only place round here is goodyear, tryna avoid them cuz they over charge. thanks for the help though i think im def. gonna check the pressure sender

does the car have an oil cooler? if so it will have an oring behind the cooler and the filter actually mounts to the cooler and the cooler mounts to th block. this could look like a filter leaking what kind of car?
