Oil Pressure

Need some help. I have a 78 Vette with very few miles. I started the car the other day and show no oil pressure. How do you check what needs to be fixed? Oil pressure sender, oil gauge or oil pump. What do you do first? How do you check the pump to see if its working? Thanks T
