Another skyline ruined - Z-Tune RIP..!!

Ah no... I'm cursed with the Nissan Skyline. I started to build the Z-Tune last night, left all the stuff on the dinning room table, looked at it this morning as well as checked my Cobra build and promptly left for work. Was making nice progress, got the front bumper on really nice, sanded the mold lines (the few that the body had) and washed ready for prime and final checks for top coat.

Just been home for lunch and erm skyline is no more. Body totally chewed up by the dog. Cobra build is thankfully OK, but skyline is now just a lump of chewed up plastic, box gone the lot..!! Dog had jumped up on the table and emptied the fruit bowl first, and not being totally satisfied with the contents of the fruit bowl decided the skyline was also a doggie treat. As if banana's, apples and a few oranges were not enough...

P/E parts are un-touched, and a few of the sprues. Another skyline I won't finish. That's the third one now I won't ever get in the display case..!! I could cry, but instead I've decided to just laugh.!! And buy another kit.

She is only a 10 month old puppy, my fault for leaving it all out… I was late to work this morning, and now paid for it as I was in a rush.

Sorry Mick, I couldn't resist that ;)

Seriously though, what a bummer :(

It seems that you have your Moby Dick, too! Still, you have a bunch of other goodies waiting for you, just keep the dog away from your stash.

On the bright side, you now have another spare set of wheels for your parts box.... :-)

I think you know what this calls for...

Pictures of the crime scene and of the culprit. :icon16:

Yeah, I didn't get any pictures of her during the crime, she's too smart to get caught on camera. Rough Collies know how to get what they want at times, she's a little rascal...!! Just cost me £19.98 for a new kit last night though from the hobby shop.

I'll be deducting the expense from her weekly doggie food allowance... She's had a few model bits now, she wrecked my SLK clear parts tree a few months back and I had to buy spares from Tamiya.

I've got a lot of Skyline spares now though. Anyone need some Skyline rims, some tyres - perhaps a dashboard..?? I've got loads.. Even a chassis. I've got three spare, but no bodies... Even got an SAS resin kit going if someone wants it, all to a good home (one without doggies if possible)...!! He he..

Damn... You can't order a replacement body from Tamiya or a distributor? That's allllllooottt of money down the drain. :(

Good luck with your next one. Keep it in a locked chest or something this time.

Nah. She had the decals, the metal transfers and parts of the black spru as well.. Mostly all of the model was chewed up.. She did leave the chassis alone, and my Cobra build thank god..!! I'd have been REALLY made if she had chewed that great paintjob on the cobra I had done..!!

Cheaper to buy a new kit.. Bloody dogs..!! Lesson learnt..
