Do you speed?

Hi there. Speed has been something usual to a lot of people over there. I love speed but I dislike it's risks. Are you with the speed or not?, whenever you go out, specially if you got a sport car, someone revs his engine as sign to race you. This is a very strong temptation. What is your opinion of this issue? and thanks in advance.

I speed because it's fun. Do i endanger others? No, but it's fun...that's it...

In response to the thread title? Most of the time. However, I don't usually indulge those who would like to race 1. because my car is old and I'd like to keep it running for a good while longer and 2. because it usually happens in traffic and I don't want to be the cause of someone's accident.

Depends on the location. School Zone? No.

Highway on a long trip? Yes.

Speeding is fun, that's right but sometimes a pedestrian walks without looking, sometimes an old man on the street who is not good driver and some beginner drivers may wrongly turn to the the third line and you are in it flooring the pedal coming too fast, this happens if not this time, the next time and hopefully it won't and finally How fast do you guys drive?.

I never speed in residential zones. It's usually on the highway or freeway alone. I make some spirited runs in town every now and then though.

When i'm on the highway it's usually 40-50 over the limit.

I speed everywhere but school zones. I live out in the middle of nowhere so the only thing I'm really endangering is myself and any animals that feel like walking into the street is a good idea. I usually only go 5-10 mph over on average. If I'm out on I88 you gotta go 75-80 just to keep from holding traffic up.

Well, used to. I'm tryin' stop. It's really like a disease for me or bein' an alcoholic. I have serious problems. I've raced in everything...I raced an ECHO last night. An echo, im desperate. I need my own car so I can go to the track or take on highways etc. *sigh* :crying:

What if a cop told you to pull over and asked you why did you speed? what are you going to tell him? and also, What if you raced somebody in the street who is stupid and while you was racing with him, he made an accident, will you stop to rescue him? If you stop, you know that you will get in troubles because you was racing with him.

I am not doing a report, I am thinking a lot about speeding issue and this question a person asked me it.

What if a cop told you to pull over and asked you why did you speed? what are you going to tell him? and also, What if you raced somebody in the street who is stupid and while you was racing with him, he made an accident, will you stop to rescue him? If you stop, you know that you will get in troubles because you was racing with him.

I would tell the cop the truth, like i've done the last 5 times i've been pulled over and gotten a ticket.

And i dont race on the street so i cant answer that question. But if i saw someone wreck during a street race, yes i would try to help them.

I drive about 4 over in town, try to stay at or under the limit in school zones. About 9 over on highways, or whatever is necessary to stay with traffic.

I don't street race, cause well, I'm to slow to even bother trying... And If I saw someone wreck street racing, or if they wrecked while I was racing them for some wierd reason. I would stop in a heartbeat to help them.

I stay with the flow of traffic. But at 3am when there is no traffic... :uhoh:

considering i passed an undeercover cop at 90mph yeah i speed. but I only do it if i know i can do it safly. so its ussualy on a highway or big empty back roads. love speeding through the twisties..

Pretty much the only time i'm not speeding is when i'm not in my car. By speeding, I mean like +5 over....max of 10 over. On good days i'll do like 75 in a 35.

I pretty much only speed on highways, and roads with lots of sight distance. I make it a requirement to break 100mph atleast 3 times a day.

As for the street racing stuff I haven't been able to get a hit for a while, but I try to. I just cruise the streets,a nd highways hping for someone to run. I still wait for traffic to clear when I race though. I also try not race around too many corners where I don't think the other driver can handle it.

One time my friend spun out while racing me around a sweeping corner that was scary. I feel as long as I'm careful with how I race I'll never have to get into a position where I get in trouble for someone elses wreck.

I do speed but i wouldnt say im a reckless driver.

i speed when i drive my rx, usually about twice the speed limit if its clear, but with my suv, i go about 5 above the speed limit.

I don't speed in city traffic or in residential areas or schools. I only speed on open straghtaways or mountain roads where very few people drive.
