Sentra Light Switch Broken

I have a 1999 Sentra GXE, and the headlight switch is broken. I cannot turn on the lights, because the whole switch broke off. All I have is the turn signal rod, with the light thing gone. I was wondering if I can use the control from a 1995 Sentra to replace it. Or if there is any other way to go to fix it. This is getting irritating, cause I can't go any place after it gets dark.
