mpg on the DIC

I was just wondering how accurate is the mpg setting on the DIC of a 98 grand prix gtp, do i need to push the rest buttion on the dic after i fill up so it can update my mpg or does it do that on its own???

No, you need to press reset after you fill up, otherwise, its giving you the cumulative average fuel economy since the button was ever last reset.

Just make sure you're in the right mode such as avg econ when you do.
