seems like all it does is restrict, IDK how in the heck blocking up your air box (or wherever it goes) is actually ssupposed to improve fuel economy

I can see that restricting air flow for sure. and it looks like crap

can you imagine one or two of those little blades breaking off and going through your Turbo?

ive heard of those. its based on the flawed concept that creating a vortex in your air intake will give better consistency throught the air supply. even if that really made a difference (which i highly doubt), it seems like it would add enough drag to cancel out any benefit it gives. im not about to do any research on a peice of crappy aluminum to prove anything though, lol.

if anyone really wanted to try something like that out i bet you could make one out of a pop can though :P

Yeah, the only way I could even see this being an imporvment is if you had a throttle body injected car and it sat inside the air filter right before the throtle body, because it would mix the air and fuel better....but on a modern FI car? I think not.

I used to work for an auto retail chain we'll call "the zone for all your car stuff" and I personally know that these intake tornadoes don't work. We all tried them and they failed on every car. I tried it in my 94 3kgt and it just restricted airflow. so fuel improvement? NO. added power? no. better atomization? NO
