ac recharge

Was womdering if any one could tell me where the freon goes on the high or low and where it is located on the compresser for a 95 grand am i found a male connection with a red cap on it but just dont know if it is low or high . thanks for any help.

The coolant goes on the low pressure side. The recharge kit hose will only fit the low pressure side. It can be located in various areas within the engine compartment but it is not the one with the red cap. That is the high pressure side.
