just wondering if any of you guys have used the hasegawa paint mix for the subaru, it is 35% bright blue, 35% cobalt blue and 30% clear red. I cant seem to be able to get the tamiya spray so i thought i might use this mix but the clear red seems a bit strange to me. I have two subs to do and want to get started.

I would suggest going to the Scoobie dealership and getting a can of paint there. Also some automotive shops could help you, that is if they sell paint. But you probably need a VIN code of the car.

Guiddy and myself have been having a bit of a debate about this, after being in touch with Prodrive who run the Subaru rally cars, I can tell you that the proper colour is not one which is in the Subaru range for their road cars although the WR Blue of the new style impreza/STI 7 etc. is supposedly close. I think when I get around to doing mine I am going to use a Rover colour called Trophy blue that comes on the new MG Rovers.

Clear red will make it slightly purplish and add a depth in the color. 30% of clear paint sounds like it's meant to be painted on silver to simulate the metallic look. I never thought about it, but it would be interesting to experiment.
