And I was thinking about asking for 550cc injectors and an SAFC2, but I have a couple questions...

For the injectors, what type should I get, Ive seen like side feed, disc, etc...what are the differences?

Also, do you guys trust buying an SAFC off ebay? Or should I get the parents to spend an extra 20$ on one from a store? Is it difficult to connect?

If I think of anything else Ill be sure to post. Thanks in advance.

I actually might go with 660cc injectors instead for 20psi.

Im not to sure about the injector question..BUT for the SAFC2, as long as the ebay seller is legit with good feedback AND the SAFC2 is the real brand, not some knock-off, then ebay will be the better choice!!

I stopped asking for shit for my car for christmas (damn alot of "for's). My dad was never one for christmas presents. Just always gave me 50 bucks or so. My mom is the one who did all the Christmas shopping and just wrote my dads name on the presents. She would have no idea what the hell i was taking about when i asked for a "Catback system" or whateva. She did buy me a pretty nice cd player for my car a couple years back tho..(best christmast present I've gotten since I've been an adult)

definately go with the 660's.

And you should be fine buying from ebay as long as you buy from a trusted dealer like was said before.

Ok, but what kind of 660 injectors?

Please read:

If you buy 660 injectors or higher, tuning will become almost impossible. SAFC's are known to tune only 550's well, they have to correct far too much and are not effective above 550cc. If you're only using the 14b, then 550cc and an SAFC will work

But look at it this way:

SAFC2 = 275 or so
Logger = 125 or so

that's 400 bucks for tuning that will only get you by. You have no control over timing, and you only have two maps to choose from via the SAFC.

Or...

DSMLink = 550, here you have control over everything, timing, stutterbox, and can run 1600cc injectors if you wanted to and they will idle like stock. DSMLink is amazing, check it out on their website and you'll be convinced.

Many people are mad they got an afc2 and a logger when DSMLink makes so much more sense. Add to that the fact that you already have an eprom ecu (cost me and most others 200 bucks), there really is no choice.

DSMlink > SAFC in every possible way

and dsmlink will grow with you and the car, and can handle anything, on the other hand, the safc stops at 550cc injectors

your choice, but just remember, mod twice, or mod right ;)

Thats what I figured I would do, but I would have to wait a while to get bigger injectors, which Ill probably end up doing. Ill have to see if the parents will let me do this. How long does it usually take for them to get back your ecu?

took me less than a week, and I live in Texas, pretty far

you can always borrow some local dsm'ers extra ECU

the DSM'ers in my area are a good community and we lend stuff all the time. I would try to find some.
