Few weeks back i was driveing my cousins car from my house to his so i could get my car, I'm on the interstate going thru Lindale (Lindale cops will do everything in thier power to give you a ticket) So i'm driveing along at 65 when he tells me to step on it so being the idiot i am i slam on it, I'm going about 85 when i look to my left and i see a cop standing by his car smileing at me . Soon as i see that i pull over before he's even back in his car, I turned tg\he car off and put the keys on the dash and had my license ready and both hands on the wheel. He comes up and asks me how fast i was going and i say about 85 and he says " Ah...well i clocked you doing 90.......are you aware the speed limit is 60" So i said i was aware of it and he goes back to his car and i'm sitting there for 2 minutes pissing myself trying to figure out how i'm going to pay for the ticket and the guy comes back and hands me my license and says to slow it down and have a nice day. I'm still trying to figure out how i got out of that in Lindale!. About everyone i know got a ticket in lindaler for doing like 66 and somehow i got caught doing 90 and no problem. Needless to say i watch my speed alot closer now.

Cop could have seen u were honest about it and saw you were giving him an attitude/run around and decided to let u go.

Well the cop didn't even have to do anything to stop you. Shit for all you know he wouldn't have even pulled you over. I mean you stopped voluntarily, they like that a lot. So i'm guessing thats the main reason. Don't listen to jerkoffs telling you to go faster, they're not the one whoes gonna get the ticket. Peace-

I agree^^

Cops love honesty, because they encounter it so rarely in traffic stops.

If you admit your mistake and don't lie/deceive/play dumb, they may just let you go.

Consider yourself really lucky and buy some lottery tickets. Maybe your luck will hold out.

The honesty thing works wonders. I have gotten alot of tickets, im 20 and have about 8-9. 6-7 all from when i was 16-17, i was stupid i know. Now the first about 7 i played stupid and got tickets everytime. Now since then ive been pulled over about 5-6 times, i have been completely honest and only gotten 1 ticket. One of the ones i got let off from was 87 in a 60. I was pissed that i was gettin a ticket because i was on my way out of town for a weekend to visit a bunch of old friends.
