HEy guys,
I currently have a 1995 300zx that I am thinking of parting ways with and was thinking about possibly getting an M3 to replace it. I was just wondering how reliable are the mid to late 1990's M3's and are they very expensive when it comes to having them worked on. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The E36 M3 (1993-1999) is generally considered to be a pretty reliable sports car. I have personally seen them with close to 200,000 miles on them still running about as well as the day they were bought.

The problem with BMWs (and premium German cars in general) is that they are more expensive to work on. Getting parts from Germany tends to be relatively expensive when compared to Japanese or American cars.

Most of the people I know with the E36 M3 absolutely love them. I highly recommend them. They are an awesome blend of luxury and sport. Good luck car shopping.

When you buy a BMW, a Mercedes, a Porsche, etc. you do pay for quality. And the m3 is one of the only cars in the world that can actually live up to it's price.
