Drivers side heater

I was wondering has anyone had any problems with the heating system in thier 200 LS? It does not get very cold here in Dallas so I havent used it much this year. I noticed the drivers side of the vants are taking up to about 30 minutes to heat to the temp that the passenger side has reached. I am talking the difference of like 85 degrees to about 65 degrees. If anyone has experinced this let me know what the cause of it is. Iam thinking one of the cats might be the problem I have replaced the thermostat, the housing and water outlet pipe and o-rings.

There is a valve by the lower pass side of the radiator that controls the right and left heater valves and LS has had problems with the very thing you are talking about. To be honest I've changed a few and I can honestly say do not try this yourself unless you have lots of patience and moderate technical skill plus you have to have lots of tools. Do not try this with "the craftsman 2000" :nono: . Make sure you also have a extended squeeze clamp removal tool because some clamps have no room for regular pliers. I'm sure with lots of tequila and lots of prozac you'll do fine! :iceslolan

Actually that sounds like your DATC (dual automatic temperature control) unit is bad. It's the part that sits underneath your radio. It's pretty common for those to go out.
