security light/ignition switch replacement

My g/f 2001 monte carlo has the security light comming on,and check engine light at the same time. The turn signals even quit working from time to time. after reading your forum im guess the ignition switch needs replacing. How do you do this? I know how to do it on the old cars but not on this thing. this lady needs help she was scammed from a local garage. My old mech buddy told me to disconnect battery for 2 minutes. This knocked out the lights for awhile. So I am gonna try to help her. thanks in advance

easiest thing you will ever do haha...gimmie ur email addy and i will send u the service manual instructions, along with the instructions on the security relearn...and if u need help getting the parts there are a few places that sell oem online cheaper than the dealer
