never worked on a stratus

i've never worked on a stratus before. My girlfriend has a 1998 four door. I need to replace the passenger headlight, so i went and got the right one but when i went to put it in i ran into a problem. i can't get my hand in behind the light because something is bolted to the fender wall just behind the bulb. The part looks like it is only held on with one bolt. would it be safe to remove this part and move it aside so i will be able to reach the bulb and change it. thanks for any help :)

There are (2) bolts holding it in. Both on top, and they are Torx head. Once you remove them (they are long, with the threads on top) the headlight will pull out the front, allowing you to change the bulb.....
