ohhhhhhhh myyyyyy goddddd......I just cant believe the cars I have been racing lately.........to make a long story short and cut out the chases........just a couple of hours ago I had an encounter with a 2004 MUSTANG GT 40th anniversary........just like I said Ill cut the chase out and go straight to the race.......after all the chasing we finally get to line up at a light with a whole bunch of traffic behind us....I look over and its a younger looking dude with his friend....they start smiling....and I roll down the window and asked them what they had in it.......cause earlier they raced a 2005 v6 accord and stomped it like it was standing still.....the driver said it was stock and his friend started smiling....I didnt think it was stock cause it was louder than hell when he smashed off but then again it could have been his V8 and his flows.......anyways after I asked him what he had in there.... he asked me the same thing and I said its stock too.... then he said but you have a BOV.....and I said thats it though......he then said dont smoke me to bad in a sarcastic tone.....so I say nahhhh you dont smoke me that bad......after that last statement the light turned green and we were still talking to each other so we didnt get time to get a launch......we take off regular in first until 20 mph then we both hit it....first and second we were side by side...then when I hit third I started to pull on him two car lengths later he stops and I slow down to give a peace out and they do the same.......good peps no ricer fly by.....after that run I say to my self I have one nasty ass third....then two hours after that race coming for my grandmas house and going to my uncles house I run into a 93 RX-7 TT......I didnt see it at first until my cousin joe (Mazda209) rolled up next to me and said hey race that RX-7....I was to busy paying attention to another mustang behind him.....so the lights turn and the cars go I finally pull up one car behind him on the left.....I look at the back and just see the RX-7 badge but no TT or even T badge.....so I say to my self its just a non turbo....but when the lights turn again I hear turbo spool......so we both smash and try to ditch the traffic in front of us.....this time I get to pull right next to him and say lets go......he says ok so we both hit it second to third I pull on him....I then slow down again...and say to my self what the hell happend he pulls up next to me.... so I say lets go again and he says I cant beat you.....Im like wtf...I tell him dude you have twin turbos and I only have one...and he says but they are old and my motor is stock....I then say so is mine....he asked me what year is my car...I say 05...he then says again I cant beat you my car is to old...so at this point I just want to race him again to see if my win was a fluke......we finally hit a light and I get finally get him to run me......I wait for the other side to turn yellow then I start my launch....we both are idling at this point... I held my idle at 2500 but I got so nervous it kept creeping up....I kept telling my self not to drop the clutch when the lights turn green.....but what happens I dropped the clutch and I spin all through first.......but luckly for me so did he and he got alittle side ways (rear wheel drive) Im jealous......we were even until the end of my second then I hit third and pulled on him pretty bad.....but I think he gave up at the end of my second.......after that I threw up the peace out and so did he....what a good guy.....anyways I am happy as a clam I beat cars that I couldnt beat with my old car and my third is just nuts...P.S what do those cars hit stock in the 1320......???????
cliff notes:
beat a 2005 MUSTANG GT 40th ANN

Good job, good job. I'm a little surprised about pulling a couple lengths on the GT, but those SRT's do have a wicked third gear. After I raced one in my VR4 and was very impressed with its performance, I took one out for a test drive. VERY strong car. The RX7 kill is understandable, if the engine is stock and has a lot of miles, it sounds like it needs a good tune up and some work. Anyway, congrats on the kills, two very respectable ones.

i may be mistaken but the mustang would run about mid 14's and the rx-7 is at about 14.0 flat but since his car was old and lots of miles i would say 14.0 is a looooooooooong shot.

rx-7's runs what you run in the 1/4 stock, but yeah since most rx-7's aren't running right, so the kill is very understandible.

I can't wait to be able to pull up next a Mustang GT owner and say mine is stock.

thank you, thank you, thank you, and thank you....that mustang was pretty nasty itself it got me thinking second thoughts on racing him after he scratched or should I say ripped all four gears when he stomped the accord......and the RX-7 TT was just amazing in its own league, even though it was in its stock for.....

Very nice kills, as for that 05 Accord, those things ain't very light but they do make a good amount of power.

Good kill. I've heard SRT-4's have a strong 3rd gear. I believe 4th gear is the weak gear for that car. Anyways, good job on the RX7. I always wanted to know how well an SRT-4 would fair against one.

yes....the RX-7 TT would be the my choice of import if I was to ever get an import....that car has major sex status.....and one of those new v6 accords were hanging with my boys e36 m3 on THE FREEWAY that was crazy.....thats why I thought twice with the stang......

Oh yea, S/C one of those Accords and I wouldn't be surprised if the BEAT the M3, I know the 6th gens can when S/C. Probably the best 4k you'll spend on a 6th gen Accord, unless you go with a custom turbo. :icon16:

yeah i have a lot of respect for the SRT-4s. very impressive very fast cars. Dont they have a engine similar to the 4g63?
Ive seen a few SRT-4 at the track get sub 2 second 60' on DRs and run high 11s. probably did it for well under 30 grand too. total zo6 killer
I might be geting a poor-mans version of the SRT-4 (1g GST eclipse) in a month or 2 if i can find one for a good price.

Different engine. The neon uses a 2.4L engine, and the 4g63 is 2.0L. Both are really good engine though, except for the 4g63 in the 2nd gen Eclipse (crankwalk)

Cant remeber where I saw it, but I heard that the turbo motor in the SRT-4 was related to a motor they put in some Nissan that was built in Mexico. Not the same, but similar. Dunno why, cuz to my knowledge D/C has never worked with Nissan, mostly Mitsu...meh, probably just me reading something wrong.

the new eclipse GS has a 4g64, which is an overbored 4g63, i have not a clue how it relates to a neon but the 4g64 is 2.4 liters and they are very potent when turbocharged, some dsm guys even swap in the block, keep their head and have a 2.4 liter hybrid motor
