has anybody seen al abadilla's web site. you can check it out here. http://www.conecrazy.com/project-g20/
i like how he put his sub on the back deck. anybody else with a p10 done that. opinions on sound. right now i have 3 mtx blue thunder 10s in the trunk and even when i turn it down my trunk rattles. i hate when trunks rattle. other opinions on what i can do. its been suggested to dynamat the trunk, but anybody who's looked at that stuff knows it's horribly expensive. thanks

I myself have 3 Custom Designed JL Audio 12W6's (about 2x more powerful than stock) being powered by a 3000 Watt 1ohm Custom designed Xtant 1001dx.

My trunk rattled as well, and it drove me nuts. One thing that I noticed was majority of the rattling was coming from the license plate, and the license plate frame. So I removed the plate frame.. and because the plate can only be screwed down on the top.. I used some of that 3M double sided tape.

That stuff is incredibly strong, my plate no longer rattles. Although there are some very slight and hardly noticeable rattles that are still happening because I havent dynamatted. The plate is majority of the problem. At least in my case. I have often noticed that when I put all my weight (all of 135 pounds baby!!) on the trunk that the rattling decreases a small amount.

As far as I can tell, the remaining rattling is coming from the taillights themselves. However, I am to lazy to take them apart and fix them.

Also, maybe its just my car in general.. but my muffler rattles as well from the bass. Hehe.

What kind of wiring/alternator did you run for that Xtant? I've had problems going over 1500 watts in my 200sx with a DEI amp and Clarion class D amp.... Couldn't find any high output alternators to buy :-(

free air subs arent known for sounding very good. jus buy a box and some subs and dynamat the truck. if the system is really loud this will fall off though. my rearview mirror has fallen off three times as well as both sun visors and my cat cover. :D

All I have is a 4 gauge power wire and a 4 guage ground. each one goes into a distro block that splits it down to 4 8 gauges.

I didnt get a new alternator.. although Im thinking I will soon because mine is old as it is.

I got a Odyssey battery.. the website is
http://www.bakerprecision.com/battery1b.htm
I was told by MB Quarts installed Sam that its the best car audio battery on the market.

I have the PC1700 its an incredible battery, and really small.

Yes - but your battery is there pretty much for when the car is off, when the car is on your drawing from the alternator.... I've fried many o' many o' many alternators in my days :-P

Have you found a place for high amp alternators? If you do I'll bet you'll notice a HUGE different in sound as the min. current draw on that amp has to be about 90-100amps which more than exceeds the stock alternator.... They wear out because they try to power everything else + the amp + keep the battery charged....

Anyways cool setup.

Yeah, my friend let me borrow his 15 farad The C.A.P. The ones made by alumapro. That thing made the whole system sound a world better.

Once I get some money I'll get my self a capacitor setup and a new alternator once I find a high powered one.

All I've seen are 80amp ones on nopionline.com. Maybe Luke at Digital Racer can get high powered alternators for the P10's?
