Upgrade Ideas for 1990 Maxima SE

Subject Says it all. The car was given to me and is basically mint with 21k on it. I believe it has the 3.0 in it. I'd like to add a few cost effective performance upgrades, but I'd like to do it (the work) on my own and learn as I go. Suggestions? What parts are available on the market? Also, are there any 300ZX parts that are cross compatible? I know it's just a Maxima...but given the shape this car is in...I'd like to make something of it.

It already has: K&N Airfilter (supposedly good?) and a dual exhaust that looks and sounds badass but I'm not sure it's a performance upgrade per se.

btw. first repair the ol brittled vacuum hose ends...

pull out the cat, and the muffler. cost about $400, but worth it if you get a CAI too.

also try and find a ground kit. i had a vg30e and the gorund kit gave a notceable improvemtn.

oh and its not just a maxima, id give anything to have my 92 back.

rip out the bose, if its not done already, this gets a lil tricky but worth it in the end.
