92' Maxima Heater Core Installation

Hey guys maybe you can help me out. I just recently burned a perfectly good computer because the heater core failed and dripped anti-freeze all over the ECM. I have found a replacement ECM and will re-route the entrance and exit hoses going into the firewall temporarally (it is getting cold here in NC so I have to fix soon). What is the best way to install the heater core. Some have mentioned that I should remove the dash because it will be easier. Will it be easy to open heater to replace the core? What tips can you give?
