I have a buddy that has a `92 Town Car with a stereo problem. Apparently the stereo has no sound at times, sometimes it works fine and other times not at all, now it is not working at all. he says that he can see the volume indicator going up when he turns volume up but there is no sound at all. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem.

Thanks Muff

try checking out the wires to the speaker directly, means u have to check the door speakerswires and the trunk speakers and also take the radio out and make sure the wires are in tightly

i found that if the amp is not hooked up or gone bad there is no sound but the radio still had power to it...so it may be the amp...check that out...
