Trunk opening problems solved!

Hey,
A couple weeks ago there was a post regarding how to get the trunk lid to open up all the way on its own. I found a cheap and easy solution that works great, if you don't mind how it looks...

Interesting. If it works what the heck, right. If you ever get a chance to figure out something that will help us with a '97 - '03 let us know.
