so you turn the key and nothing happens? and you have a check engine light?? i'm glad you do.. we all do too..
if the check engine light is off and absolutely nothing happens then you've probably blown your ignition relay. (fuse box beside battery) if it goes on when you turn the key but the starter doesn't engage then there might be a loose connection between where your key goes in and the starter itself. check all the fuses especially in your engine bay (beside battery). you might have blown something there.

An easier explanation would be he might have left his lights on. When the radio doesn't work that shouldn't have much to do with the engine, it's a failed battery. Did you try to jump start it already and nothing happened?

my friend held the throttle open for awhile, and it started up fine. its running rich i think. radio did eventually come on, just took an extra couple seconds. whenever i revved it up to like 7k, it'd backfire. thats running rich right?

NAH AH!!! that's digging into my shiftingKA thread territory. Yes, everyone overrevs their KA, even those trying to save gas :iceslolan

You're right it is trouble, but apparently no one cares about that either lol. Once you get to 6 it sounds like a ferrari, it's that cool..well a ferrari at 2k rpms
