97 Corolla Instrument Lights

Just curious as to how I can replace the light for the reverse, drive, park, etc panel for the transmission gear indicator. Light went out a while ago and it just bugs me, I gave it a try and it seems that a lot of interior panels have to come off in order for me to be able to access it, so I stopped before I went to far and was hoping I could get a how to before i did something bad. Thx.
