I have a 2000 neon, & about 2-3 weeks it was sitting their in my drive-way, for the fact that I needed to change the rotors, & brake pads. Well, ever now, & then I would start the car, for keeping it normal on voltage, for the fact that it has sound system. The after a few days, a squicky noise started to occur, I have heard it before but always goes away. This noise is on the P/S, A/C, & Alternator side, dont know if its the belt that need to change, dont sound like it, I sprayed some STP belt spray, it goes away, when being spray, but, then comes back even louder. Well in advance, Thanks.

You probably need to tighten the belt...never spray anything on your belts. It doesn't solve the problem and may cause your belt to slip more.

I change the belts, & the noise was still their. It seems to be coming from the accesorie's pulley (UDP), the noise seems to come only when, I rev it, or take of.

NO, its just the accesories pulley (stock) I have one, but, have not installed it, I found out last night that it was also the power steering pilly aswell, as for the other one it stop, when I tourque it, as for the power steering, it dont stop, they have told me its maybe the bearing inside the pulley.

It could be the bearings, but unlikely. Make sure you get the belts real tight. If not, you will get the squeal/squeak from the car.

Alright, lets see what happens after I put the belts up tight, I also heard for them not to bee too tight, becasue they can rip. I will try a little more dough.

No, the noise is coming from the crankshaft pulley, any ideas why, its already tight as it is, unless its from the inside of the timing belt cover.

Das2123, I have notice that power steering pully is crack, all the way from the edge to the middle, where the bearing is. I think that might be it.

I had a friend tell me that, but, it was being removed the a/c, freeing up more HP.
