top speed

i noticed the speedometer shows 110 on the 97 and up GTP but i have an idea it can go a little faster then that. if the speed limiter is removed what would be the aproximate speed it could go w/o doing any damge to the eninge trans....thanks i have a 1998 GTP with 120k miles

i have a K&N intake and thats it

my 01 gt goes 112 then it quits. i have heard that disconnecting the speed senser also makes other things not work in your car.

I believe the GTPs are limited at 128, whereas the GTs are limited at 108-112, seems to vary. The only way to remove the limiter that ive heard of is to get a reprogramed PCM, which costs about $200.

My '99 gtp cut out at 126 i think, and the '00 gtp I haven't taken over 112 yet

Had mine up to 128 then let out cuz of traffic.
