i have a 2000 gmc z-71. it sounds like my u-joints are going bad. there is a poping sound when i put it into gear and when i go down the road sometimes you can hear a clicking noise that sounds kinda like a clothes hanger being touched to spinning bicycle spokes. when my truck bounces after hitting a hump in the road it gets a little louder as the the truck squats. will the u-joints go bad even though they look good? or is it something else?

One test is to feel the U joints caps after a long drive.
If one is hotter than the others it is bad.
But you should remove the driveshaft and twist the u joints by hand and if one is binding or lose it is bad.
