93 explorer fuel gauge issues

i have a93 explorer and the fuel guage does not work. I think it may be a ground wire because the rest of the guage cluster works fine. If this has happend to you or you know how to fix it please help me out. thanks

If the fuel sender for the fuel guage mounted on the in the tank pump is bad, the only fix is replace the fuel pump asy. I suggest OEM part only.
If the float for the fuel sender is bad, it can be replaced.
Again, go OEM. The float from the dealer is not expensive.
I think the part number for the float is COAZ.9202.B?
Ask for the brass float for fuel pumps. They leak and fill with
fuel and and will not float.
There can also be a problem with the elec harness that is located
at the top of the fuel pump asy.
There is a kit available, aftermarket, but the dealer has these
kits, if you ask. It includes molded connecter and new pins.
