you can use the dpfi with any d series head... it just sucks. Too answer you question the z6 or y8 would be a good choice, or a a6 head milled with a nice cam is nice.

is there any special machining required for the z6 or y8 head? why is the z6 and y8 hed better than my b2 head?

if you use the Z6 head and stay OBD-0 you need to notch the Dist.a little bit to get the bolts to hold it, if you use the y8 the dist will bolt up.
I would strongly recommend you go MPFI and Obd-1 though, worth the money.
Oh and they are better because of Vtec yo!
It really depends what you are looking for though, if you just want to replace the head to have a running car and not for power gains, just go with a b2 or a d16a6 head. They'll be a lot less work.
