im looking to buy this guys 1990 eagle talon tsi. he said he got a valve job, got all new gaskets, and timing belts. front suspension done with new struts and bushings. complete clutch job and master cylinder but it needs to be blead though. (all done last summer) the only thing that needs to be replaced is the emergency brake cable and maybe the battery. the cars got 137,000 miles on it. the tires, body, and interior are in good condition. he's asking $2750. i haven't checked out the car yet. but is it worth what he's asking?????

Is it AWD or FWD? I would say offer him $2,500 if everything is in as good of condition as you say it is. Make sure and test drive it first, see how it drives before you hand him money. Possibly have a mechanic give it a good run down, but the price sounds about right.

Is it AWD? If so I would say thats on the high end of ok. If its FWD, I would offer him less. That car AWD I would give him $2300-$2500, FWD I would offer him $2000-$2200. Ebrake cables arent a big deal, my friend bought a car with broken ebrake cables and the new ones are going to be here probably monday. None of the parts stores around here had them, we had to order from www.rockauto.com (http://www.rockauto.com).

$2'500 for a 90"??? thats 15 years old man! The most i would give is $1'500-$1'800... even tho that car is AWD you add another $2500 and you can get a fair 2g turbo... F* that BS man... but its whatever you like =\

Im with hellah. That car is OLD its probably 16 years old now (from when it was manufactured) I would also offer him 1,500-1,800 because 137k is a lot of miles on that old of car! I would also, if you are thinking about getting it make sure that the brakes DO just need bled and that it doesnt need a new master cylinder. Why wouldn't he bleed the brakes if it needs done before he sells it? Talk the guy down!

KelleyBlueBook.com says $1,025 if its in fair condition and $1,405 if its in good condition!!! TALK HIM DOWN! I don't care what he replaced on it, its still a 16 year old car! changing that stuff doesn't make it any newer, or keep it from blowing up or keep anyother major problems from happening (which most likely will on that old of car) except for snapping the t-belt or your brakes going out anytime soon.

yeah.. with older cars... your going to run into problems ever now and then... it isnt worth it for 2750. ..hes pretty much getting the best deal instead of you... just save another 2500 and get a 2g! if he says he will only take 2750.. jsut unzip your pants and piss on his shoes... then zip it back up and walk away with out saying a word! LOL that would be funny! HAHA
