Hi,
I'm travis from NJ I just bought a 68 Nova project car. The guy I bouhght the car from took the 6 out and put in a 350 and a different auto trans. The motor needed to be wired....needs spark plug wires, belts, hoses ect. The car has a straight body no rot but needs a paint job and some interior work.
looking forward to reading the list.....hopefully you guys can help me out as I go along.

hey i was wondering if you can tell me what i have to do to hook up my distributer do i have to get the #1 piston to the top dead center and does it have a rotor to point to #1 cylinder

i will try to explain this. It would be so much easier if i could show you. First thing is you have to have your motor top dead center on #1. Then you need to drop you distributer in. Drop it in so the rotor points forward this is what i do. Make sure the distributer is in all the way. It will sit flush with your intake. Mark where your rotor points with a pen. That mark is where your number 1 will be. Set your cap on and where the mark is start number 1 then 8436572. Remember you can make any cap post number one. I am not very good at explaining so somebody else hop in! hope this helps

does the #1 piston have to be top dead center on the compression stroke or it doesnt matter what stroke

yea it has to be on compression stroke of number 1.
