Distributor Problems

My truck recently broke down, and would just keep turning over and over when i turned the key. I fouind out it was the distributor and I have the part but i cannot find a way to remove the old one...If anyone could please help me with an idea to remove the old distributor and place my new one in, it would be greatly appreciated. As you know it is located in a hard spot to get to, and i need an easier way to get to it without removing my whole engine block...please and thank you...

There are only 3 engine choices for your truck, and I believe that they all 3 have a different mount system.

So could you please tell us what motor you have.
At least how many cylinders
