Question on Replacing stock speakers( and possible flaming)

alright, I would have thought this was already answered in this popular forum...
Infact someone asked before and they got a dumbass answer so I'll ask it again. I've got some pioneer speakers to replace the stock ones and I already did the back, so my question is about the front. Do you need to take off the entire trim to get to the speaker or can you just pop off the speaker cover/grill?
Side Note
I was looking through some 2003, 2004 and a few 2005 240sx posts, looking for an answer about the speakers before I reposted, and DAMN do you guys flame a lot. If you want a war between rice, drift and domestic, start it in coffee break or something(dunno, just heard of CB, which in forum terms means chatterbox) actually that was pretty funny, it was like...240sx owners vs...more 240sx owners,.... what a car

Dont know about the hatches, but in the 95098 i believe the entire trim has to come off for the speaker, it sits in this little plastic dish.

That sounds like it'll work..not that I want to do it because you gotta be careful you don't break the trim holders, I'll try that thanks. Alright so far, Just like Scope says, you have to take the entire trim off. Anyone else say differently?
is 95098 the s13 or s14? or S12 :sly:

You need to take the door panel off.
I used to have a 240sx maintenance book but I lost that so i don't know where to start. I have the HB base model with manual windows. I see no screw, just some button looking things, do I pop those off?
Do I have to take off the insert first to unscrew things? Thanks

If you havent found any screws try looking again. Since you have manual windows, you might have to run a cloth back and forth behind the window hand crank thingy, there might be a little clip back there that'll keep the panel from coming off. Otherwise just put some balls into it and pop off the other little clips, its not rocket science.

yeah just pop it off.. if the plastic clips break, then go buy more from your local dealership. you'll be able to pay for them with pocket change.

I don't want to buy new ones, I want to reinstall the door panel tonight ><
Update: Ductaped a steak knife and a flathead screwdriver as my blunt objects, popped off the clips, broke them all off, stupidest design ever I swear.
Those screws you were talking about were all hidden by plastic, but I found them all
Only stuck on one thing, the door lever, what am I supposed to do here? Thanks a lot so far
*eDIT* GOT IT. Thanks for your help, time to get my new speakers in!
I'll let you know if I can get the poppers back in lol

They're from last christmas, just putting them in now because my stocks have had it and now we all know taking apart the door, especially during the school week is a bitch. The bad part is, I had to custom fit them because they were made for benz and volkswagen...the best buy guy probably "THESE WILL FIT IN A 240!!" anyone have the same problem?
The good part, the cd player radio that I bought the car with finally broke, so I'm buying a new stereo, maybe a cd changer, plus if these speakers aren't good enough, I'll fit an amp right in front. maybe...Bose SoundWave, i'll never want to leave my little hatch
