I have two MTX 5500 10's and need an amp or amps. I was told to go with two mono clarion's, one for each sub, but I'm not sure. Anyone know what they're talking about? They have a peak of 350 and they are dual voice. I want it to sound as clean as possible, and still hit haarrrdddd. My price range is below 1 grand. Any suggestions??

350 peak?? are you sure not 350 RMS? You most definetly DO NOT need two amps. You can easily use a single amp and bridge it. IF they really are 350 peak then the amp will be less then 150. if 350 RMS then you can still get a good amp for well under 200.

its 300rms, not peak. ^^yeah, don't need 2 mono amps, u could get a 2 channel amp that gives you 300rms per channel, or a 4 channel that'll give you 300rms per bridged channel, or a mono block that gives 600rms and is 2ohm stable. Are your subs DVC? if so, you have better flexibility when choosing an amp.
