Tire upgrade (non lifted 96 1500)

Ok i dont want to have to buy new rims nore have to lift the truck just yet, dont have the cash for it. Its a 96 1500 (6cyl), What size tire should i go without effecting a real power loss? Just want something Beefy and decent in the snow as well. Any recomendations? Currently have yokahomas 235/75/R15 tires on there. Also i know some vehicles if you put larger tires on them there could possibly be backend problems, due to the extra stress on the vehicle from puttin larger tires on it. That wouldnt be a problem with a vehicle like this right??

I have a 96 GMC extended cab Z71 that came with 265/75/16 tires and now currently have 285/75/16 tires and still able to pull a camper through the mountains while getting 17+ mpg. that is with 3.42 gears in it to with a K&N filter with Edelbrock headers and dual flowmaster exhaust installed.
