get the OEM 2 peice 2mm seals. there fricken amazing when it comes to moderate performance. I basicly look at it this way, RE uses stock 2mm 2peice seals on all there cars :D If you know anythig about RE then you know that they build some of the most amazing RX7's on the planet. So ya, 2mm 2 peice.

Just go into a Mazda dealer and ask for a "rebuild kit", they shoudl know what you mean and you will get all the common stuff that you need to fix the car.

Well who are you going to buy parts for the car from if not the dealer. There are not alot of companies out there that will sulpy you with parts like that for the rotary. The 2 peice seals id get from mazda. Almost all seals like that i get from the factory.

idk about canada, but the dealers here are retarded, they can barely find parts for non rotary cars, let alone a rx7 or 8

not being a post whore... but i just thought about it ... that's what a 3/4 inch drive pneumatic impact wrench is for.... lol
speaking of retarted dealerships, a buddy of mine is having motor work done on his 92 taurus SHO and we went to the ford dealer for a rebuild kit ... and they were like ... "uuuuh... what motor ?" ... "wait, we can't get that" I know its a yamaha motor but damn... not even a FORD dealer can get the damn rebuild kit. i know its a curse to talk about pistons in here but i just thought it would be a good comparison about the "STEALER" (aka dealer ... lol) .. and the worst part of it all. the 3.0L is being bored .135" over to somewhere around 3.2L and they don't make pistons or rings that size. so ross is making him a custom set for like $700.. and rings.... lol... chrysler made a 273ci (i think) v8 back in the 60's which just happens to be the same bore size as what our destination bore size is... how ironic ... lol sorry to threadjack and sin by talking about pistons... lol

Well for the apex seals id deal with them if you want to reatin the 2mm size.
As well as coolant seals and gaskets, everything else you coudl go somewhere else for. Unless they offer a better than OEM or OEM product. It really is up to you, but if its a stock rebuild, or stockish i woudl recomend the OEM stuff as it has been tested and proven over and over again.

hey tubjub, it is around 300 lb ft for the eccentric shaft nut. but as we all know, fasteners just seem to get tighter the longer they stay fastened... youll also need to get a 54mm socket to go along with that very pricey 3/4 inch impact gun.... gotta add that to the total build talley. our service tool for that is a socket welded to a 4 foot long steel bar.

Go down to your local Truck Centre (Fountain or something of the sort that deals with Rigs) Ask them if you can borrow a 3/4 or 1inch Impact, As The fountain tire here has 3/4inch ones that can tighten up to 800ftlbs, and bust any free. So, look around. See what you can find, Sometimes some Auto Parts stores have tools you can borrow.
If not, just rent the thing for like 20bucks
