I own a '95 Civic EX and am looking for a new enigine. A friend is selling a complete '94 Integra LS engine with 90k miles on it for $500. Being that we are both female and know little about engines and their value is this a fair price? I want a good deal but also don't want to rip her off. Also, would the 94 Integra LS engine be a good upgrade for my civic?

if its complete from top to bottom, then its a not bad price. i bought a 96 ls complete minus tb for 300. also dont forget, you cant just stick the motor in there, you gotta find a b series tranny for the ls engine

just for an engine....................and assuming it has a good compression and leakdown, thats a good price. as a drop in the 95 civic ex, your going to need the whole entire swap. it would definately be a good upgrade compared to your old engine. would it be legal to drop it in because the b18b is an older engine? well, that depends on your local laws.

yes it would be legal anywhere because its the same obd...OBD1 engines can be swapped into any OBD1 car

it wouldnt be legal if you droppped a94 engine in an 95 chassis in ca ;)
you can make it legal by taking it to the ref.
