Is this charge reasonable?

I want to do a flush of tranmission oil. Please stop any other opinion about doing this. There is a good reason for it.
A local dealer asked for $240 and Jiffy wanted $90. I know ATF+4 is expensive and it will need aount 17 to 18qt of oil to do a total flush. It seems like only oil will cost $84 at $3 each...
Who is reasonable? What will Jiffy put if it only cost $90?

I Actually Would Buy The Trans Fluid And Have Jiffy Lube Flush The Sysytem For You. It Would Save You Around 100 Bucks

I thought the capacity was 17-18 pints (9 quarts) @6.50qt =$58.50 +$24 for filter and screen + $7.50 for gasket and sealer =$90.00 in parts
Jiffy Lube seems too low to be able to put in the correct fluid, if they are flushing the transmission.
The $240 the dealer wants may be a standard charge for transmission service no matter what trans you have. Some transmissions still require mechanical adjustments as part of their service. My '00 GC runs about $120 for Trans fluid/filter service at a local garage.

Thats ridiculous even for a dealer , atf change with filter should not be more than $120-140 at most .

Maybe I did not make this subject clear enough.
The $240 is for total flush/exchange of all ATF oil up to 18qt. This alone will cost around $54.
A regular drop the pan and filter replce will use only 5 to 6 qt of oil + filter and labor. The same dealer is asking for $129 for that service.
What I am afraid of is that Jiffy must be using $1 per qt oil in order to make profit for $89 job.
While dealer wants $240 for a $54 oil cost job is way too high, not to mention dealer does not need to pay $3/qt like general customer...

First of all take a little advise and don't flush the transmission at all. Just change the fluid and filter but do not flush. It has been my experience on the various forums pages that when someone flushes their transmission they will end up replacing the transmission within 10K miles of the flush.
Flushing the transmission, especially high mileage transmissions, damages the clutches and they will fail shortly thereafter causing the need for a rebuild or replacement.
Spend the money on regular fluid and filter changes and you shouldn't have any problems.
Just to answer your question about price the dealer is too high across the board.

Totally agree with GTP Dad, on a Chrysler, do not flush, waste of $$$, do the oil change $10.00 for Filter & Gasket, 7176E or equivalent will do,
No oil change should be that expensive
