72 nova parting out

Hey everyone, I have a 72 Nova that I bought for spare parts. got everything I want out of it. Need to get rid of everything else. The car is minus the motor and front suspension (A-arms, springs and brakes) but has nearly everything else. It was t-boned on the driver side so door and front fender is shot. Feel free to ask questions. I can email pics of any parts. All the parts are still in the car so I will need to take them out before they are shipped.

Do you have any rear bumper guards?

If it came stock, then most likely. Don't know what bumper guards are though. the rear bumper is the standard chrome.

Thanks, The bumper guards kinda look like fangs, there's one on each side of the rear license plate. They are chrome and have a little strip of rubber running down the center. Some Novas had these and some didn't. I came across a set for the front of mine (however they are not in the pic) and I kinda like the way they look, so now I'm trying to find a set for the rear. If you click on the cardomain link below the pic of my Nova, it will take you yo my Nova page. If you scroll down about halfway, there are 2 pics of the bumper guards on the front of my car. The ones for the back look almost identical. :smile:

Interseting, never seen those before. Look good on your nova though have to try and find some. I dont have any though. sorry. If you think of anything else let me know.

-Passenger side fender and condition
-Main gauge cluster that contains the speedometer, fuel etc and is it for a 4spd? Mine is from an automatic that is now converted to a 4spd, but the gauges need to be rebuilt.
-Seats, are they bucket or the origional bench?
-Carpet?
-Trunk mat
-the metal bar that goes behind the grill that supports the hood latch.
-Platic molding in the interior
-Steering wheel with horn button

Hey there. passenger side fender is in decent condition. the guage cluster is bit busted up, but some of it may be salvagable if you don't need the plastic housing etc. It is an automatic. the seats are the origenal benches front and back- back is in great shape, front is torn in a few places, all good frames though. The carpet and the trunk mat are both shot. Ill have to check for the shape of the bar tomarrow, probably good though. some of the plastic moulding is good, some is bad. what parts did you need? Ill have to check the steering wheel tomarrow, I do know the steering column is good though.

Where are you located. I'm in southern california

I am in Northern Cal near Sacramento. I can email some pics if you want. I took some stuff out of the car already (seats, dash, steering column & a few more) so I can get you pics of them out of the car. let me know

What about the plastic molding that is at the posts in the car. The two at the windshield, the two at the door where it closes. and the two in the rear(I think there is two there but its late and my mind is shot from doing english homework haha.)

a what up i have 71 nova what part do you have left

im trying to build one up

sorry to take so long getting back to you, had some issues logging in to my account. I have not gotten rid of much.
entre body is good except for driver door,fender and I am not sure about the hood (dosnt look bad but may have problems when you go to line it all up)
as for interrior, the seats are pretty much all that is left- they are in decent shape. both are the origenal blue vinyl and cloth. back has no tears, the front bench has a few.
steering column (no wheel-I needed that)
origenal ralley rims - need to be cleaned up due to surface rust
origenal rims and caps
had and A/C set up and most of it is still there
wiring harness - looks like the guy I got it from added a few wires (splices)
dash is cruched but the light blue pad is in great shape
lots more odds and ends of pieces. not much in the way of interior

Do you have the drivers side upper control arm(good condition needed)? I'm rebuilding the front in and I need one ASAP if I can (would rather have a good one than trying to fix the current one). Let me know if you do because I would need it in like asap and I'd pay for 2nd day or next day air shipping for it as I'm going to need it in around a week. I'm going to pick a part tommorrow and hopefully will yield some results.

I do have on. not bent up or anything, but it will need some cleaning to make it look good. should probably have new bushings put in it too.
I also have the front sway bar and all the other co9ntrol arms w/ drums attached if interested.

Sorry for not responding fast to your post. The one that is a little messed up will still work fine for what I'm doing. I had my automotive teacher take a look at it and we both made the decision it'll be ok to use as is.

hey by chance do you have the wheels still. the ones that have those cool chevy center caps (stocks ones). and if you have them are they 15 in. Also i ned some trim like the front window trim door and side window trim. o yea do you hav any of the nova logos? thanks Dan

I do have all the rims with the chevy center caps, they have some surface rust but should be fairly easy to clean up. I could sandblast them a bit for you if you would like. the crome rings that go inside the rims would need to be rechromed (or not used)
I also have a set of chevy hubcaps.
I think I have all the chrome from the front and rear windows if that is what you'r talking about. I don't have the plastic interior column cover - the ones that are broken on nearly every Nova I have ever seen, I am looking for a set myself.
I have nearly all the emblams - fenders, hood, trunk

Iam lookin for the trunk floor braces, they are what the gas tank bolts to... Let me know

I do have the floor braces, But I took a look at them and have no idea how they come off. I didn't see any bolts down from the trunk or up through the brackets. I would be happy to sell them to you, but need a little help.

Still have lots of good parts - rear end/leaves, front A-arms, front bench and back seats, rims with chrome rings and chevy center caps, front pass fender, lights, emblams, and many more odds and ends.
need to get rid of it all so I can getrid of the shell.

Do you have a windsheild w/ the antenna in it? preferablly with no cracks or chips?

unfortunately the windshield (which does have the antenna in it) was crunched pretty good in the accident. sorry
I got a quote from a local glass company for only around 250, with the antenna, so at least your not looking at an huge nock to your wallet.
