4G63 engines

on the 4G63 engines, what is the max hp they can get with stock internals? how well do these engines take to mods? I heard the the evo's are pushing 19 psi, is this true? any info you are willing to share about the 4G63 engine will be great. thanks.

The early (90-92) 6-bolt 4G63 has been seen to take up to 450-500 hp stock. They take to mods very, very nicely. Anything from an intake pipe and hard intercooler pipes to a 3in exhaust will yield instant results.

Stock boost for an EVO 8 is about 19 IIRC.

Just search "4G63 max hp" or something of the like and you'll see what i'm talking about.
