94 altima speaker size?

I have a 94 Altima in which I am going to be builing a sound system in, which is going to include amp and subs, along with replacement factory speakers. However I am not sure what size the factory replacement speakers. What size are the stock speakers, front and rear? The sooner the answer the better. Also if anyone know how to get to the front and rear speakers please post it also.

go to Crutchfield (crutchfield.com) and go to speakers, enter your vehicle info and it will tell you what size speakers it has.

Remove the rear seat. Find the two bolts near the carpet that hold the seat bottom in place and remove the bottom. Then you will be able to see the two bolts that hold the seatback in place. Use a screwdriver to release the plastic clips on the package tray and remove it. Then you can get to the speakers and mounting hardware. 94 speakers are 6 1/2" also.

crutchfield is great when it comes to getting the right speakers. I have a 93 and the front door speakers are a strange size and even with the correct size aftermarket, you will probably have to modify the speaker holders some. i had to grind away some material to get sony 2-ways to fit because they are deeper. I forgot the name but you should buy the mechanics book for your car. It has almost everything you need to know about taking things apart. the only other hard thing will probably be routing the positive cable from the battery to the amp. I ran mine on top of the plastic fender well and as able to drill a hole through a thin piece of metal into the cab fro teh fender. From there I just pulled up the trim pieces holding the carpet down and ran it under the carpet, under the back seat and through the middle hole to the trunk.

wish they would have used 6.5s in the 95s

crutchfield says i can use 6.5s but i know for a fact that the door speakers are way smaller than that. At least i got a new project
