got my new car!!!!

ok well i just drove a 87 pontiac firebird formula ws6. it has a 400 cubic inch chevy v8 and an automatic transmission woth a nice shift kit (shifted amazingly by the way). custom racing seats with 5 point seatbelts. no t tops, power windows and locks. pretty nice. needs a little body work but its not to bad. the guy im buying it from works a a place that builds race cars. lol its pretty col shop. well anyways, the engines got like 10000 miles on it and it has a posi rear end with like 3.83 gears or something. its red, and hes got like a .500 lift cam in there i think he said. and a full ehaust and i think its dual, like true dual with a x pipe. and hes got a K&N air filter. its tpi, new tires, umm thats all i can think of right now. anyways im buying it on wednesday for 3000 dollars. afteri get it i will have to clean it up and take pics and some sick burnout videos. that thing was a beast. when ever i would floor it i would loose traction, like a all speeds i drive it at today. (just drove it to around some backroads) anyways what you all think? its missing some interior parts and the back left tire came off a while ago and messed the fender up a little. just the tire came off not the whole rim. he might be giving me a 5 speed with it. and he is giving me some new headlamp motors cause the motors in those are known to go out. oh and is it possible to pu a caparo nose and hood on a firebird? cause im not to big on the firebird fronts. and a camaro ground effects from a rs or something. thanks and sorry for the freaking biggest post ever lol.

lol yeah thanks. i was really wanting to put the body it from a maro (stock one) and the nose and a camaro cowl hood so it will look better... but yeah, picking iot up tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! wooooo i will have pics and stuff by like friday i hope, gotta get my computer to read my camera......hmmmmm

congrats on the find, that's a hell of a powerful beast, so be careful in it, don't go killing yourself or the car. and don't put a camaro front clip on it, that just screams "redneck".

no hp and torque numbers, but when i go gwt it today after school im going to ask him if hes taken it to the track or dynoed it. i think hes been to the track with it becuase when i was driving it he asked if i ever go race at the track. so i may come back with a time.

there better be a FL cruise, i am still trying to get pics off camera onto the computer but my usb port wont recognize the camera, but idid a sick burnout yesterday. well iw was a donut, well like 6 donuts....i filled pretty much our whole schoo parking lot with smoke..... of course it wasnt during or after school. it was at like 12 last night. me and my friends went and stole a bunch of trays from fast food places and we put em under the rear tires of my buddys front wheel drive car and then put the e brake all the way up so the tires stay on the trays, then you turn the wheel alllllllll the way to one side and give it alot of gas........holy shit that is the funnest thing possible to do with any fwd car. its rediculous.....after the first spin one front tire is burning out and the other is just sitting in one spot whipping the rest of the car around at crazy speeds and its just awesome. next time im recording it so i can show you all. its awesome..... good stuff good stuff. then after we burnt all the way through 6 trays i did my crazy ass donuts and filled the placeup with smoke and everyone was amazed and alll hauled ass off behind me and followed me casue it wassssss mad loud and the school ground keeper guy lives net to the parking lot. but yeah. GOTTA FIX MY COMPUTER USBage STUFF OR WHATEVER IS WRONG!!!!!

eh, least yours is put away nice and snug. I put up the thread mine got 're-arranged' to put it mildly. Luckly the a-pilar is ok, but the impact rattled the quarter panel and now the low pressure fuel line is leaking. I'm actually hoping someone just throws a smoke under it at this point (so long as the drivline survives :) )

Thats good no serious damage was done. I remember when i thought my tranny was done. I took the right into the driveway a little early, the tranny pan hit the curb of the sidewalk. Dented the pan really bad, as if the car was upside down and someone took a sledgehammer to it. Tranny was slipping like crazy and i couldn't figure what the hell was going on. There was no damn fluid in the damn thing!!! Good times.

Yeah, but I'm just tired of looking at it just sitting there. And now when it does get put away it will be PUT AWAY for probably a good few years. Toys are fun to have but when something takes it away from ya, you wish you never had it.

the casting number should be on the rear right side of the engine block (from the perspective of sitting in the drivers seat). you might need a flashlight and mirror to see it.
