Hey, I know fibreglass but I was curious if there were some parts that I could mold myself such as side skirts? Heres my thought, If i get either a peice of 4x4 wood or foam, I could shave it down and kinda play with it until I get the shape that I like, stick it up to the car and play with it to fit nicely, then cover it with fibreglass layers. Ideas on this anyone? Good bad? Anyone ever made their own kits before?

good idea, however you have to be careful with curves, anything sharp and round like say a bottle you won't be able to get the mold off, you also want mold release wax, and lots of it, coat the part your foam with 20 - 30 coats of it, then you might have to use the one you make from the mold, as the actual mold, do the same with it

Holy crap, you're going to make your own kit. Actually sounds fun. Havent tried it, but this isnt a bad time to try.

Wax is a good idea, never thought of that thanks. I just thought now that the foam would be good icnase you cant get the mold off, pecasue you can pick away at foam really easy, sor example if it gets stuck in a bit of a curve you can poke at it until its all gone. The tricky part will be making the other side lol, any more tips would be good.
Thanks Ryan.
Thanks Ryan.

you have to be careful with the curves, because the foam will likely be the mold for your mold

well the foam mold will be what I cover with fibreglass, ill make 2 side by side and then cover them both seperatley, see how it turns out. Just kep tweaking until I get it right I guess

I'd dry it on the foam first, because fiberglass aint cheap
