97 740iL - glove box

I am relatively new to the BMW. Have a 740iL - 1997. When you open the glove box - it also has the ability to "pull forward"... which is nice, except it doesn't stay forward. Is it suppose to? and if so... anyone know how to fix it so it does?

Mine doesn't stay forward either. I don't think they're supposed to.

on BMW's.. he tells me that it is suppose to stay open when it's pulled open... and that there is a pressure shock thingy (that's my technical term.. hahah) that has lost it's pressure... says it's 28$ for a new one...


we will see... he had to order it.
