Radio Replacment

I have a 1996 LSS and I was wondering if anybody knows how to not lose the steering wheel heater controls when replacing the factory radio with aftermarket.
Also have a problem with the indash heater controls not responding.Can turn unit off and on but cannot adjust fan speed or temperature. Can only adjust with steering wheel controls.
Thats my dilemma I would like to change the radio but then I lose my heater controls.
Any help would be much appreciated. The Fixer
